QUILTING HAS BEGUN Quilting is being done every Monday and/or Tuesday at 9 a.m. and on Monday evening at 7 p.m. . 200 quilts have been completed by the ladies but there is still an abundance of fabric to be used. Would you be willing to make a quilt top at home if you are not able to come on Monday or Tuesday? The Lutheran World Relief Drive will be picking up the quilts and kits on May 21-22 in Bismarck. Your help could make a big difference in the number of quilts we are able to send. There have been some questions as to what the Cluster Meeting is that we are hosting in April. The ELCA is divided into Synods and each synod is divided into several clusters. These clusters are made up of area churches. We belong to the East Missouri Cluster. There are 17 members of the East Missouri Cluster: Zion in Ashley, Faith, First Lutheran, Trinity and Lord of Life in Bismarck, Grace in Driscoll, Trinity in Kintyre, Peace in Lincoln, Peace in Linton, Trinity in Napoleon, Bethany in Robinson, Dawson and Trinity both of Steele, English in Tuttle, Sunne in Wilton, Bethlehem in Wing and St. Luke in Wishek. Twice a year the women from these organizations meet, once in the fall for officer training in the various project to be done by the church and any information out there to help us better involve our women, and in the spring and fall for Bible study, growth in our faith, fellowship with other members, and exchange of ideas regarding church issues. Each church takes its turn hosting the cluster meetings so we have it about every 8 years. It is now our turn and we hope many women will turn out to hear our speaker. Shelley Traynor of Bismarck will be doing a study on “Teach Me to Pray”, a study on making our entire life a prayer. The event usually begins about 9 a.m. and we are finished many times by 3 p.m. It is a wonderful time of fund and fellowship with other women. Please consider coming this year to our church. You need not be an active member of a circle to take part in the meeting. We would like to see many women attending from our church. The rewards are truly great. Marilyn Malmedal, President of the PLCW (WELCA) of Linton
